Factory Foreman

A well-established commercial joinery factory, known for its skill and dedication to delivering premium custom joinery and cabinetry for commercial projects, is seeking a Factory Foreman to lead their production team. About the Role:

This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the factory floor staff and processes, ensuring efficient and high-quality production. Key responsibilities include:

• Directly managing and motivating factory floor staff.

• Providing strong leadership, coaching, training, and actively developing the skills of apprentices, with a focus on the future skillset development of the entire production team.

• Maintaining rigorous quality control standards throughout the production process.

• Providing hands-on assistance with assembly on the factory floor as required.

• Ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project deadlines within allocated timeframes.

• To be skilled in the craft of cabinet making including have completed your cert 3 in cabinet making or shopfitting

• Applying a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, fixings, and adhesives.

• Upholding the company's professional image through exemplary conduct.

• Continuously striving to improve quality and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Ensuring strict adherence to all health and safety guidelines.

• Contributing to the identification and implementation of new strategies for improving company efficiency.

• Demonstrating the ability to follow instructions accurately.

• Contributing positively to a collaborative team environment and maintaining a strong work ethic.

• Planning and implementing an effective approach to work to ensure timely project completion.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Factory Foreman, ideally within a commercial factory.

• The ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing superior quality work.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

• The capacity to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member.

• Well-developed communication and organisational skills.
