Department of Diagnostic Radiology are looking for a Fellow in Vascular and Interventional Radiology to join their team. The position is to provide clinical care under supervision and acquire the additional skills and knowledge to satisfy relevant Specialist College and Medical Board requirements in order to practice as a Specialist. The emphasis of this position is on Interventional Radiology, but includes continued exposure to other cross sectional imaging modalities

About The Role
The Interventional Radiology Fellow will learn the basic principles of image guided intervention.The Interventional Radiology Fellow will ensure that the Diagnostic Imaging procedures under his/her control are of a high standard and providing written reports on examination for which he/she is responsible.Participate in the preparation and presentation of Diagnostic Imaging meetings and Clinical meetings involving Diagnostic Imaging.Participate in the training of Radiology Registrars in Diagnostic Imaging and participate in the training of Paramedical Staff, Nursing Staff, Administrative Staff and Medical Students, if this is possible, without compromising service requirements.Foster and undertake research into areas relevant to Diagnostic Imaging.The Fellow will be trained in all facets of Interventional Radiology including fluoroscopically guided vascular, biliary, renal and miscellaneous interventions. Focus will also be placed on learning ultrasound and CT guided techniques.
