About the Opportunity

End2endcivilcomms has opportunities with several leading companies involved in NBN projects and we are seeking an experienced Fibre Splicer to join our team.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: South East Qld

Role and Responsibilities

• Communicating with customers to understand their requirements.

• Understanding of safe work practices and risk management.

• Understanding the quality assurance standard required by the client.

• Working in a timely manner to meet deadlines from the client.

• Understanding of SWMS, JSA and permitting systems.

• Reliable and Punctual.

Skills and experience

• Experience in the telecommunications industry working in live carrier networks.

• Working at heights and EWP viewed favourably. (Will put through training)

• Single & Ribbon splicing experience would be viewed favourably.

• Internal cabling and conduiting in commercial/residential properties.

• Preparation and splicing of optic fibre cables internal and external enclosures and frames.

• Reading and understanding network plans and drawings.

• Testing and Commissioning of links as per customer requirements.

• Knowledge of NBN DFN and LFN infrastructure.

• Knowledge of carrier network.

• Knowledge of Cable Hauling Practices and Procedures.

• Knowledge of multiple Carrier Optical Fibre Networks.

• Fault diagnosis and repair.

• Working in Telstra exchanges.

• Sound computer skills.

Hourly pay rate or salary dependent on experience and knowledge.
