About the role:

We are looking for a dynamic finance professional to coordinate, analyse, and deliver accurate, insightful financial and management reporting for Bain & Company’s consulting offices across Australia and New Zealand. This role has a focus on taxation, compliance, and financial planning, to deliver high-quality outcomes driving strategic internal decision-making. You’ll collaborate closely with global peers and act as a trusted business partner to local leadership.

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Prepare monthly three-month cash flow forecast and upload to the Global Treasury system
  • Run month end P&L reports
  • Assist with monthly Profit and Loss analysis for certain cost centres
  • Prepare monthly cost analysis and work with stakeholders to ensure alignment with cost forecast
  • Updating Headcount movements and Reporting:
    • Ensure the global headcount reporting system is accurately maintained to reflect actual office headcount
    • Reconcile ahead of the monthly forecasting, and perform analysis on current tracking against Plan


Compliance Reporting and Taxation

  • Assist with preparation of year end reporting (W2, footnotes, tax package)
  • Review BAS Lodgement
  • Review and submit annual FBT lodgement
  • Prepare and submit Payment Times Reporting
  • Manage internal and external auditors throughout the tax audit process
  • Review various Australian Bureau of Statistics Surveys

Financials

  • Work closely with the accounting team based in the New Delhi office to:
    • Prepare/upload and review/post journal entries
    • Review monthly reports, Balance Sheet, bank reconciliation and Fixed Assets Register
    • Update and review Month-close accounting platform

About you:

The ideal candidate has:

  • 4-6 years strong accounting background experience
  • Chartered accountant and/or CPA membership
  • Proven experience in Statutory Financial Reporting and FP&A
  • Excellent communication, planning, written and team leadership skills
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach and can work independently and lead initiatives
  • Proficient organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Proficient or advanced Microsoft applications skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
