This leading University has recently undergone a significant technological transformation, implementing the Workday Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to modernise its Finance and HR functions. They are now seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to support the continued success of this transition within the Research Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Record and maintain research agreement data within Workday, including deliverables and budget forecasts.Update research records in response to project changes, stakeholder input, or evolving business needs.Assist in issuing invoices, creating purchase orders, and preparing internal financial transfers and corrections.Support the preparation of financial reconciliations and expenditure claims.Contribute to data reconciliation and other financial administrative tasks as required.
Key Skills & Experience
A qualification in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience.Experience in a finance-related role within a large organisation.Strong understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, reporting, and transaction processing.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.Experience with Workday or other ERP systems highly regarded
