Financial Controller

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller with a strong background in tax to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our organisation, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and contributing to our strategic financial initiatives. This includes:

• Managing and overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

• Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and managing tax planning and reporting activities.

• Preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

• Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the organisation's growth and objectives.

• Collaborating with the CFO to provide financial insights and recommendations.

• Leading and mentoring a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Identifying and mitigating financial risks, ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial information.

About You

• Degree in a finance-related discipline and formal post-graduate qualifications in Accountancy such as a Certified Practicing Accountant or membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants

• At least fifteen years’ experience in accounting, with the last five in a Financial Controller role, preferably in a multinational manufacturing environment.

• In-depth knowledge of tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.

• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in SAP (preferable) or similar large ERP systems (mandatory) and Microsoft Office Suite.
