Fire Electrican Technician

We are seeking a mature and commercially astute individual in Electrician/Fire Service

Technician & Fire Services Technician to join our Grafton Team due to continued growth.

You must have extensive experience in the maintenance, service, repair and minor installation of a variety of electrical and fire equipment in the commercial, retail & aged care sector. All Electricians, Fire Services Technicians and previous applicants are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will also need to possess.

• A strong focus and commitment towards OH&S in the workplace

• Excellent customer service and time management skills

• Great communication skills

• A positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to develop skills and be upskilled in other trades.

• A current and valid Australian Drivers Licence

• Three plus years’ experience in the maintenance, service and repair of Electrical & Dry Fire equipment and some fire knowledge would be an advantage (desirable not essential) Experience in the maintenance, service, and repair of commercial Dry Fire equipment (desirable not essential)

• Understanding and knowledge of AS1851 Fire Maintenance Standard (desirable not essential)

• Capabilities in testing fire panels, OWS, fire extinguishers and other fire equipment

                  (Desirable not essential)

• Understanding and testing of Wet fire systems (desirable not essential) Testing for EM lighting & RCD’s (desirable not essential)

• FPAS accreditation (desirable not essential) NSW Electrical Licence (desirable not essential) Cable providers licence (desirable not essential)

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Must have or are willing to get your COVID 19 Vaccinations as an essential worker. Must have a current Working with Children (WWC) Check?

• Must have a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment? Must undergo a pre-employment medical check?

• Must hold a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)?

You will also have a strong desire for career growth with a rapidly expanding national organisation. You must be able to pass National/NSW police check and a Working with Children Check, also complete, and pass in full a pre-employment medical including random drug and alcohol screening.
