FIRE PANEL TECHNICIAN

FULL TIME FIRE PANEL TECHNICIAN REQUIRED

About the role

The successful applicant will be responsible for helping to maintain numerous contracted buildings. They will also be required to carry out regular repairs on a full range of fire panels and work closely with our scheduling, reporting and quoting teams to ensure our clients are provided with a seamless service.

Duties/Job description

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Managing their monthly workflow, to schedule the monthly testing of our managed buildings;

Schedule their monthly run in a time efficient, manageable way;

Carry out monthly inspections of the sites on your run. This involves testing the fire panel, filling out the log books; diagnosing and reporting on any issues.

Carry out minor repairs whilst on site if applicable - examples would include changing batteries, resetting the panel, isolating any issues, fixing faulty detectors etc.

If issues still persist provide quotes to the client.

Attend site to carry out any approved repairs. This includes, but is not limited to, changing detectors, replacing components within the panel, replacing worn cables, running cables to add new detectors and sounder basis, or speakers.

Reprogramming panels when new items are installed.

Carrying out fire trips when sites require mechanical testing.

Provide training to site contacts as to what to do in an emergency.

Educate site contacts as to how to silence alarms.

Carry out regular testing to EWIS system and ensure WIP's are fully functioning. Replace any WIP's as and when required.

Salary Package ($75,000 - $85,000 + superannuation) - This is a full time position (38 hours per week).

Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements)

Relevant Certificate Qualifications or higher;

At least 3 Years of relevant full-time experience;

Strong communicator with interpersonal skills
