First Class Welder- Altona

Civilmart is an Australian owned national manufacturer of civil concrete products supplying to sectors such as residential development, local governments, water authorities, civil infrastructure, irrigation, the plumbing, and drainage market. Transfab Australia (a division of Civilmart) is seeking an experienced First Class Welder to join our dynamic production team in Altona. The role involves fabricating, repairing, and maintaining metal products using various welding techniques, such as Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and Submerged Arc Welding (SAW). The salary range for this role is $75,000-$80,000.

Key responsibilities include:

• Fabricating and repairing metal structures and products.
• Aligning and joining metal parts using hand tools and welding techniques.
• Conducting quality control checks and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Applying safety and occupational health standards in all welding operations.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in MMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and SAW.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications.

Additional Requirements:

• Must hold valid working rights in Australia.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination, including Drug and Alcohol screening.
