About the Role

As the Fleet Supervisor working Tuesday-Saturday, you will be responsible for all aspects of safety, performance, resourcing and team leadership within Strait Link's Port Melbourne refrigeration logistics division. 

This includes being accountable for all activities and resources associated with the shift to achieve objectives, optimise profitability, and improve efficiency with a strong customer focus, and in a safe and engaging manner. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer focus is present in all activities undertaken by the team, considering the impact on service delivery in decision-making.
  • Plan, coordinate and provide direction regarding day-to-day operations workflow in your area of responsibility. 
  • As a member of the shift leadership team, proactively lead, set and maintain work standards and behaviours - and help to hold team members to account.
  • Conduct labour cost management activities, in line with budget requirements and oversee labour planning with the help of reporting tools.
  • Apply a proactive and preventative approach to HSE issues affecting the site or work area.

About You

  • Attained a High School Certificate or equivalent
  • TAFE/Tertiary qualification in Logistics or similar discipline preferred
  • Valid Drivers License
  • RACA 1 & 2, Dangerous Goods Acceptance by Air, Airside Awareness Training
  • Strong understanding of the Transport Industry and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in front line leadership
  • Strong computer skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft suite - in particular Excel reporting
  • Enthusiastic, with a customer service mindset
  • Flexible and able to adapt to constant change
  • Thrives working collaboratively with a team to achieve targets
