We’re not your average pizza joint – and we don’t want your average Assistant Manager.
Ollie’s Pizza Parlour is a Brunswick staple: a laid-back, no-fuss slice of good times with a big heart and even bigger flavours. We’re all about hand-stretched dough, cold beers, live tunes drifting over from next door at Stay Gold, and a vibe that feels like your mate’s house party (if your mate happened to be very good at making pizza).
We’re now looking for a Front of House Assistant Manager who can bring energy, leadership, and a healthy amount of hustle to the team — someone who loves service, keeps things running smooth, and knows that a cheeky grin goes a long way.
This is a hands-on, full-time role where you’ll be right in the thick of it: running the floor, leading shifts, keeping standards high, and making sure every guest feels like a regular. You’ll work closely with our Venue Manager and owners to help steer Ollie’s into its next chapter.

Tucked into the heart of Brunswick, Ollie’s is a proper neighbourhood hangout. It’s the spot you roll into for a pizza before a gig, a midweek dinner with mates, or whenever you’re craving something easy and excellent.
The menu is simple and banging: hand-stretched pizzas made from the best local ingredients, a fridge full of independent beers and wines, and a few cheeky cocktails if you’re feeling fancy.
But the real secret sauce? The people. We’re a small, passionate team that actually likes working together (wild, right?). The tunes are good, the service is warm, and the vibe is always just the right side of messy.

What you'll be doing
Running shifts and leading the FOH team during service
Keeping the floor pumping, the vibes high, and the standards higher
Training and mentoring junior staff
Helping with ordering and venue admin
Jumping in wherever needed – host, bartender, pizza hype person
Working closely with the Venue Manager, kitchen crew and owners to deliver banging service and smashing our goals
What you’ll bring
Solid experience in a busy hospo venue (pizza experience = bonus points)
Leadership skills that are more "lead by example" than "power trip"
A sharp eye for detail, a cool head under pressure, and a natural people person
Strong understanding of service, stock control, and a basic handle on numbers
A sense of humour and love for a team environment
Bonus points if you know your way around a cocktail shaker or wine list
