JOB DESCRIPTION 

• Construct, assemble, and install formwork systems for concrete structures.

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate formwork installation.

• Erecting and dismantling for the formwork to remain in position using frames, jacks, braces and props;

• Measure and assemble layouts for pours, screeding, floating and trowelling of concrete

• Stripping, cleaning, and maintaining formwork materials for reuse

• Using formwork tools and materials effectively to achieve high-quality results.

• Set out slabs , formwork , install reinforcement, pour and finish concrete slabs.

• Ensuring that all formwork works are completed in accordance with relevant designs, drawings and documentation provided for each project;

• Ensuring that all correct tools, plant and equipment are available and functioning;

• Ensuring that all works are undertaken in accordance with the company’s safety policy;

• Ensuring that all Work Health and Safety requirements are complied with.

• Carry out new worker orientation and distribution of PPEs and tools.

• Follow up allocation of tasks to workers in the morning.

• Supervision and training of apprentices.

• Work collaboratively with other trades and project managers to meet deadlines and project specifications.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.

• Conduct quality control checks to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.

Requirements 

Diploma or Advanced Diploma level qualification(three years full time experience, in absence of formal qualification) with Mandatory 2 years  of full time relevant experience

Skills and Attributes

• Self-motivated, observant, diligent tradesperson, capable of working with minimal supervision.

• Australian manual driver’s license

• Construction White card

• A great attitude and be a team player

• Dogman

• Cert 3 Carpentry 

• RIW
