We are looking for a Gardening and Maintenance Attendant to join our team, based in Dubbo . This is a full-time role to look after day-to-day lawn mowing, gardening and maintenance activities across our Retirement Village to ensure the building and grounds are always looking and operating at their absolute best. The village has 142 Villas, is pet friendly, has a range of common areas including a gym and swimming pools.
Hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm
A bit about your new role:
Maintenance of gardens, lawns, irrigation, pools and grounds
Respond to maintenance requests in an efficient and timely manner
Minor building repair works to building fixtures
Assist residents with minor maintenance works such as light globes, broken fly screens, minor lock repairs
Setting up and taking down for special functions - such as a Village BBQ or morning teas
Assist with safety inspections and light cleaning of community centres
Other duties as directed by the Leader
A bit about you:
Demonstrated experience in gardening and maintenance role in aged care/retirement living or similar setting would be desirable but not essential
Willing to learn about aged care and the principles guiding this sector
Ability to interact with the residents on a day-to-day basis and have a genuine interest in their wellbeing
LR Drivers license as you may be required to drive the village bus
