General Hand / Labourer

• Ongoing casual role
• 30-38hrs across 4 days per week: 5 am or 6 am starts

Your new company:
Join a family-owned business that has been a leader in the Agricultural Industry for nearly 60 years. Based in the heart of Hawkesbury, our client manufactures and produces its product from locally sourced, and recycled ingredients.
  
Your new role:
This is a casual ongoing role involving between 30 and 38 hours per week, mostly Monday to Friday but occasionally including weekend or public holiday shifts. Start times are usually 5 am or 6 am. You will work in the production team, assisting with general labouring duties.

Some of your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Lifting bags of horticultural product of up to 25kg onto pallets and stacking accordingly
• Shovelling excess horticultural product into wheelbarrows and disposing correctly
• Use of high-pressure cleaner and strong cleaning chemicals to assist with cleaning and washing of tunnels, machinery, floors and walls
• Assisting the machine operators with the set-up and shutdown of tunnels and machinery as required
• Forklift operation (if licensed)
• Any other general production and labouring duties as required

To be considered for this position you will need:

• No experience is required, just a keen-to-learn attitude and a strong work ethic!
• A forklift license and warehouse experience are beneficial, not but necessary
• You must be physically capable with the ability and willingness to do manual lifting (up to 25kgs)
• Track record of reliability and punctuality are a must
• The ability to work in a team as well as independently
• Strong safety awareness and practices
• Strong communication skills
• A driver's license and reliable transport are preferable
