Heatseal, an Australian company, is seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, installing, and replacing glass in various structures. Tasks & responsibilities
- Measure and cut glass to specifications
- Install glass in windows, doors, and other structures
- Replace broken or damaged glass
- Ensure glass meets safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members on projects determining type and dimensions of glass required
- Laying glass over patterns on padded tables and in jigs measuring and marking glass for cutting
- Examining glass and marking defective areas cutting along patterns and templates
- Breaking off sheets and excess glass with notched tools and glass pliers
- Installing glass and mirrors in windows, skylights, display cases, interior walls and ceilings
- Smoothing rough edges using belt sanders and smoothing wheels
- May coat, cut, etch, trim and treat glass to achieve special effects
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Glazier
- Strong knowledge of glass types and cutting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license
About Company
Heatseal is an expanding business in the South West of Western Australia. Recently moving into the manufacture of PVCu frames and IGU's and other related glass products. Due to this expansion we are looking for someone who is a qualified Glazier to join our tight team. This person needs to be a Glazier who also has the knowledge in the Construction of IGU's, and all the related machinery required to put a sealed unit together, from the computer operated glass cutting table to the putting the Argon gas into the units
