Getting On Track In Time (Got It) is a school based mental health early intervention service for children in years Kindergarten – Year 2 who display emerging difficulties with social skills, emotional regulation and behavioural problems. The program works collaboratively with children, parents, carers and school staff. The key aims of the Got It program are to prevent mental illness and behavioural disorders in later life and improve educational outcomes.
The position, as part of a multidisciplinary team, is responsible for the delivery of a range of clinical services to children and families involved in the Got It program. This will include the facilitation of behavioural/developmental/emotion regulation/social skills group for children and the delivery of parenting program to their parents/carers. The clinician will liaise with and work closely with educational staff, particularly teachers and student support staff.
