Grade 2 Physiotherapist – Community Therapy Service Musculoskeletal
Full Time Fixed Term position until September 2025
Based primarily at The Royal Melbourne Hospital Royal Park Campus, with flexibility to work at the Parkville city campus as required.
Provide physiotherapy service, clinical supervision and education of students and junior Physiotherapists

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology service employs over 200 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and friendly team.
This position is based within the Physiotherapy Community Therapy Service team and will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to gain experience working in a well supported multidisciplinary team environment with a wide variety of Inpatient and Outpatient or Community clients. This role includes supervision and education of student and junior Physiotherapists. You will be expected to contribute to the weekend service and research portfolio within the team.
Your new role:
Bring your excellent clinical skills to provide high quality patient assessment to competently and independently assess, treat and manage musculoskeletal patients in the subacute and community health setting.
Work across a variety of caseloads and prioritise clinical load based on daily demand.
Be flexible to meet the clinical and workforce needs of the Physiotherapy department.
Be involved in the supervision and education of student and junior Physiotherapists.
Develop your leadership skills in organisational committees and portfolios.
Contribute to our innovative research and quality improvement program.
About you:
You are an experienced Physiotherapist with broad musculoskeletal Physiotherapy skills.
Experience in outpatient physiotherapy patient management.
You have a strong ability to develop relationships with relevant team members from allied health, nursing and medical teams.
You have experience with supervision of staff and students.
You display a culturally sensitive, patient centred approach to practice.
You have a recognised degree in Physiotherapy and are currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
