Graduate/Undergraduate Chemist

Dribond Construction Chemicals is a major manufacturer of Ceramic Tile Adhesives, Waterproofing Membranes, Concrete Repair Compounds and a range of building industry products. Established in 1974 the company has grown to have manufacturing facilities in five mainland Australian states, New Zealand and Asia.

We’re looking for a Graduate/undergraduate Chemist to join our business. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent science graduate or soon to graduate looking to build hands-on experience in a commercial lab environment.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare samples for testing in accordance with lab procedures.

• Perform internal testing of laboratory mixes, including slump, density, and setting time.

• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all sample preparations and test results.

• Work alongside the Laboratory Chemist to meet quality specifications and turnaround times.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve product or testing issues as they arise.

• Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or related field.
  (Certificate III in Laboratory Skills may also be considered.)

• Previous experience in construction material testing is a plus but not essential.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a small team.
