About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Handyman/Carpenter to join the team at ProGroup Management Pty Ltd in Sydney. This role is responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and maintenance tasks to fulfill our customer contract requirements. Our customers are varied and include government departments, construction and private companies. The role involves traveling to various sites, providing accurate job quotes, and completing high-quality carpentry and maintenance work. All work needs to meet the highest standards of quality and safety, while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
What you'll be doing
Travelling to various job sites to assess, quote and complete maintenance projects.
Liaising with Facilities/Project Managers to schedule particular project activities to achieve project goals.
Ensuring Quality, Safety & Environmental Management Systems are adhered to throughout projects.
Communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on progress.
Assisting trades/contractors as required and where safe to do so.
Providing carpentry services, including framing, finishing of interiors, installation works, etc.
Carrying out ad-hoc minor building works & repairs.
Ensuring all work complies with industry regulations, and HSEQ protocols.
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Carpenter/Handyman fulfilling service management contracts.
Relevant carpentry certification.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites across greater Sydney.
Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
Strong understanding of building regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance processes.
Good personal administration and organisational skills.
Able to use technology and I.T systems proficiently.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with demonstrated experience in engaging diverse teams and clients.
Valid White Card and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
