LIONS@springwood is the official social club of the Brisbane Lions based in Springwood. Our venue offers over 200 state of the art gaming machines, TAB facilities, our Cage Bar with plenty of TVs for the sport fans, the 5th Quarter Restaurant with an incredible variety of meals to suit everyone and an enclosed kids area.
Are you a culinary visionary with a passion for creating unforgettable dining experiences? We’re on the hunt of a talented and dynamic Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and inspire excellence. The role will join the Club’s leadership team and manage the day-to-day kitchen operations.
What You'll Do:
Craft and innovate menus that showcase your creativity while meeting the diverse tastes and expectations of our patrons
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
Lead, train, and motivate a passionate team of chefs and kitchen staff
Manage kitchen rosters ensuring to maintain wage costs aligned to budget parameters
Manage inventory and stock rotations maintaining cost controls
Engage with the community by curating special events, seasonal offerings, and promotions
Ensure compliance with WHS and food safety requirements
Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and industry contacts
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar and fast-paced environment
Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and/or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery desirable
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
A thorough understanding of inventory management and cost controls, both food and wages
Exceptional leadership and communication skills
A deep understanding of food trends, techniques, and local ingredients
Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage a high-volume kitchen
A commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
