Chapel Hill State School are seeking a focused and dynamic Head of Department (Curriculum) to join their dedicated team. This role is offered on a temporary part-time basis (0.8 FTE, 40 Hours) commencing 14 July 2025 until 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.

The is a temporary part-time position for Semester 2, commencing 14 July 2025 until 12 December 2025 with possibility of extension. An additional (0.20 FTE, 10 Hours) teaching position may be negotiable for the successful applicant to make the position a full-time fixture.

About the Role

As the Head of Department (Curriculum) your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the curriculum areas or whole school program in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
  • Be future-oriented and strategic.
  • Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff. 
  • Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the curriculum areas or whole school program to achieve goals.
