About the Role

The Head of Football is responsible for leading, developing and maintaining a competitive and thriving Football program. The Head of Football will oversee all aspects of the school's Football program, including coaching, player development and program management; as well as provide operational leadership specific to the School's sporting culture. The incumbent will implement appropriate programs that will cater for a range of ability levels, from beginners to elite athletes. This position may require the Head of Football to perform the duties of a coach from time-to-time. 

About You

You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:

  • Ability to lead and inspire a team both on and off the field.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of staff.
  • Ability to implement initiatives, deliver projects and manage change.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or as a high-level football coach
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of football and up-to-date knowledge of current coaching techniques.
  • Efficient management of administrative tasks and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with the CGS community including students, team members and parents.

All team members at CGS are required to have:

  • Appropriate qualifications
  • A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
  • A current National Police Check; and
  • Full working rights within Australia.
