About Them
This fast-growing, purpose-led business is a leader in delivering renewable energy solutions to enterprise customers and property owners. Backed by some of Australia’s largest private impact investors, the company has grown rapidly through innovation, strategic acquisitions and a commitment to value creation and social responsibility. It offers a dynamic, forward-thinking and collaborative environment.

About the Role
Reporting to the CEO and part of the leadership team, the Head of People & Culture will lead a small team (HR Manager and Office Manager) and play a pivotal role in evolving the People & Culture function to support the next phase of growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role that balances strategic direction with operational delivery. You’ll shape and embed a fit-for-purpose P&C strategy while supporting leaders and teams day-to-day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all aspects of the employee lifecycle
  • Driving recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning
  • Coaching leaders and managing employee relations
  • Overseeing compensation, benefits and merit review processes
  • Ensuring compliance and WHS requirements are met
  • Managing HR systems (e.g. Employment Hero, WorkPro, Culture Amp)
  • Using people analytics to drive insight and improvement
  • Supporting CSR and ESG initiatives
The role is based in the Sydney CBD and requires full-time office attendance (Monday to Friday), with flexibility around start and finish times.

About You
You thrive in roles that blend strategy with hands-on delivery. You're a well-rounded P&C generalist with strong coaching and influencing skills, and experience designing and delivering people initiatives that support business growth.
You’re confident working in fast-paced, dynamic settings and ideally bring experience from start-up or scale-up environments. Exposure to small or mid-sized businesses where adaptability and pragmatism are key will be highly regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in HR, business, psychology or a related field are preferred. Just as important is your ability to build strong relationships, offer sound advice, and bring people along on the journey.
