The Royal Melbourne Hospital is a leading public hospital in Victoria, providing expert care 24 hours, 7 days a week. It offers emergency, surgical, mental health, and specialist services. As a major teaching hospital, it supports medical research and trains future healthcare professionals.
The Health Information Manager will have a focus on supporting The Royal Melbourne Hospital's community mental health services, located across a number of RMH sites. The role will play a crucial part in ensuring the service is appropriately collecting, using and releasing health information to support excellence in service delivery. This is a people-oriented position embedded within the service, working directly alongside clinical and administrative staff.

Your New Role
Participate in a range of exciting projects and initiatives as the Mental Health system continues its transformation.Play a pivotal role in supporting the service’s success with the new Activity Based Funding model.Develop and apply expertise in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act and other medicolegal requirements.Be well supported by a range of experts who will guide your learning and development.
About You
You form strong working relationships and enjoy engaging directly with clinical, administrative and support staff in a largely face-to-face capacity.You are interested in applying your high level of attention to detail, problem solving and process-oriented thinking in an interesting and growing setting.You are comfortable educating colleagues on a range of Information Management topics.You have experience working in a health setting and are eligible for membership with the Health Information Management Association of Australia
