Based in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, this full-time, office-based position will suit an experienced safety professional who thrives in a fast-paced corporate setting. You will work closely with internal teams across Australia and New Zealand to lead and enhance internal health and safety performance, while also contributing to client-facing technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of internal health, safety, and wellbeing policies and programs across the organisation.
  • Ensure health and safety practices are aligned with ISO 45001 standards and current legislative requirements in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Develop and manage internal safety performance reporting, providing insights on trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Guide and support managers and employees to embed continuous improvement practices in health, safety, and wellbeing at all levels.
  • Oversee the delivery of the ISO 45001 management system, including structured change management and support processes.
  • Collaborate with internal client services and marketing teams to deliver practical, high-quality health and safety content to external clients.
  • Design and implement internal training programs, including professional development for members of the health and safety team.
  • Drive service quality through structured coaching, quality assurance, and performance development frameworks.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant work health and safety legislation.
What You Will Bring to the Role:
  • A tertiary qualification in work health and safety at Diploma level or higher (a university degree is preferred).
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience working in medium to high-risk industries.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Recent leadership experience in managing a team of health and safety professionals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • High attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a corporate environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional integrity.
