Wisely is a family-owned business based in Mackay specialising in end-to-end maintenance and asset management across multiple industries including Mining, Ports and Rail.  Wisely are continuously growing and breaking new ground with multiple long-term contracts throughout the Bowen Basin. 
We are actively recruiting skilled Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our dynamic team at Hail Creek Mine Site.  If you are passionate about safety and excellence and want to work in a Tier 1 workshop with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of Caterpillar & Komatsu Haul Trucks and ancillary heavy mobile mining equipment.  Join Wisely and be part of a company that is leading the way for over 30 years in innovation and opportunity within the industry.


Mine Location:

Hail Creek Mine
 is located 120km Southwest of Mackay with 1.5-hour commute by car/bus. Accommodation is on site, access to all site facilities including gym, wet mess bar, sporting complex and swimming pool.


About you:
  • Minimum 3+ years - Post Trade - Diesel Fitter- Heavy Maintenance Equipment demonstrated workshop experience with strong fault finding, component repairs and replacement skills.  OEM experience highly regarded.
  • Experience and product knowledge in Caterpillar & Komatsu heavy mobile mining equipment preferred 
  • A safety-first mindset, strong work ethic, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
  • Commitment to working as part of a team or independently
  
Required qualifications or willing to obtain:  
  • Engineering Mechanical / Diesel Fitter, Trade Certificates (Mandatory)
  • Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 SOA (or willing to obtain)
  • Glencore Generic Induction (or willing to obtain)
