The Langham, Gold Coast has an opportunity for a passionate and detail-oriented Hotel Gardener to join our friendly Engineering Team. Help us maintain the Property as the market leader and support our luxury service culture. Your skills will be essential in ensuring our gardens and guest experiences are always at their best.
Key Responsibilities
As a Hotel Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of the hotel's outdoor spaces. This includes planting, pruning, watering, and general upkeep of gardens, lawns, and other outdoor areas. You will need to be knowledgeable about different types of plants and their care requirements, including sunlight, water needs, and pest/disease prevention and treatment.
You will ensure that all gardens and landscaped areas are kept in pristine condition, creating a welcoming and visually appealing environment for guests. This involves regular mowing, weeding, fertilising, and mulching to promote healthy plant growth. You will also be responsible for seasonal planting and ensuring that all plants are appropriately selected for the climate and soil conditions.
In addition to routine maintenance, you will design and implement new landscaping projects to enhance the property's aesthetic appeal. This includes selecting and planting new flowers, shrubs, and trees, as well as creating attractive garden features such as pathways, water features, and seating areas.
Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in the role you will have at least two years’ experience in the same position at a luxury environment. Other key attributes we are looking for include:
