Equal Living (www.equal-living.com.au) is a fast growing Disability Services Company with centers in Dandenong, Spotswood, Preston and soon Werribee and Heidelberg. We're seeking an experienced HR Officer with People and Culture skills to join Equal Living on a part-time/casual basis, leading to full time. The ideal candidate will be a versatile HR professional who can manage all aspects of human resources for our organization, with a focus on supporting our NDIS disability support workforce. Key ResponsibilitiesHandle employee relations matters including performance management and disciplinary processes for 35+ existing casual staff, growing to 100+ within a yearDevelop and maintain HR policies and procedures in alignment with disability sector requirementsCoordinate staff training and development initiativesManage the full recruitment cycle for Disability Support Workers including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and onboardingProcess terminations and exits professionally and in accordance with regulationsEnsure compliance with relevant employment legislation and industry standardsProvide general HR support and guidance to management and staff Qualifications & SkillsProven experience in HR role(s), preferably within the disability or healthcare sectorStrong knowledge of Australian employment law, HR best practices and the SCHADS awardFair Work Mediation experience or knowledgeExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExperience in recruitment, particularly for support worker rolesAbility to handle sensitive matters with discretion and confidentialityAdaptable work style suited to a part-time/casual arrangementRelevant HR qualifications (preferred) Hours & ArrangementThis position offers flexible part-time/casual hours with the expectation of being available to address HR matters as they arise. The position will initially be based out of our Dandenong office, with some travel to our other centres as well as we grow, hence you will ideally live centrally in inner Melbourne.
