About the Role

We're currently seeking experienced and reliable Vac Truck Operators to join a growing team based in Brisbane. This casual with the potential to transition to full-time after 6 months, position plays a key role in supporting essential infrastructure projects across the region. The successful candidates will work around live services, so at least 12 months of relevant experience is essential.

Job Details:

• Pay: $37.50 + Penalties + Daily Travel and Meal Allowances
• Shifts: Monday - Friday, with potential for weekend & working away.
• Locations: Various sites around Brisbane, QLD.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating Vac Trucks to assist with non-destructive digging and pipe installation
• Driving and operating synchrobox (manual) vehicles as required
• Following strict safety protocols when working around live underground services
• Supporting the construction crew with general duties, trenching, backfilling, and setting up safe work zones
• Conducting routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Working closely with the team to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 12 months experience working around live services, including stormwater and electrical conduit installations
• Proven experience operating vac trucks for at least 12 months
• Valid HR driver’s licence and demonstrated ability to drive synchrobox (manual) vehicles
• Solid understanding of safety requirements and procedures in high-risk areas
• A proactive, safety-first attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Experience working with Brisbane's water and sewer networks is highly regarded
