This is a special opportunity for an experienced Human Resource Assistance to join Awesome disability. About the role
The Human Resource Assistance instils confidence and hope, provides encouragement, and promotes healthy communication between the staff and our participants in varying stages of recovery and progression.
Work collaboratively with both staff and participants to complete safety and wellness planning
Proactively engage with staff to develop skills and independence to meet daily living needs of the participant
In-line with choice and control support both the staff and the participant to participate in all lifestyle activities to improve their social participation in the community and relationship with others
Provide short-term focused interventions, psychoeducation and mentoring to participants
Support and assist participants to achieve their goals and needs in relation to their NDIS plan through the staff
Provide weekday supports as required by participants and staff of Awesome Disability Support

What you will bring to the role
An Associate Degree in Human Resource (minimum high school diploma )
Previous experience working with people with mental health clients and complex needs as a human resource staff
An understanding of communication strategies, the impact on an individual and their family or carer’s
Be a person who engages in reflective practice with a passion for a high ethical code of conduct
An ability to communicate with the team as well as strong skills working autonomously
An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Have availability to work for a minimum 3 days per week
