Job Description Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at the Lytton Refinery in Brisbane, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the HVAC systems in plant and associated buildings are maintained in line with equipment strategies and manufacturers’ recommendations. At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region. The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC Technician with proven record in equipment maintenance preferably in heavy industrial facilities or refinery, troubleshooting and repair, and great attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at the Lytton Refinery in Brisbane, Australia and have been heavily imbedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams. Our team of engineers, planners, supervisors, team leads, quality control, contract management, mechanical and electrical technicians, logistics, payroll, site administration, project management and human resourcing are committed in producing and distributing petroleum and fuel safely and efficiently to customers and stakeholders. Responsibilities The key objectives for this role are: Steward and implement safe work practicesEnsure compliance with SWP for working at heights and scaffolding guidelinesMonitor and maintain procedures for equipment onsiteMonitor inventory to ensure reliability of systemsResponsible for complete HVAC systems inside and out. Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC (domestic and predominantly industrial)Recommending and overseeing plant site work execution and preparation to ensure flawless implementation/maintenanceManage inventory for all systemsHousekeeping, including waste managementCompetent and knowledgeable of manufacturer and types of HVAC systemsExperience managing onsite sub-contractors where required to execute work. Skills / Qualifications Cert III Refrigeration / Air Conditioning and Electrotechnology or equivalent trade qualificationFull Refrigerant Handling LicenceRestricted Qld Electrical LicenceExisting EWP, Working at Heights and Confined Space accreditation preferredSAP experience, desirableValid Drivers’ Licence.
