About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In-House Solicitor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing comprehensive legal support across all aspects of commercial property law, leasing, property acquisition, contract management, and franchising for the Think Group. As an integral part of our in-house legal function, you will work closely with various departments and senior management, ensuring the company's operations are both legally compliant and strategically sound.
While you will have internal legal support and the ability to consult with our esteemed external legal panel, you will be expected to apply your expertise and take ownership of the role. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial lawyer looking to engage with a variety of legal matters in a dynamic and growing business environment.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years post-admission experience in general commercial and property law.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a continuous flow of sales and acquisitions for both real property and business assets
Negotiating and drafting contracts and franchise agreements
Assisting with due diligence enquiries
Ensuring compliance with the Franchising Code and updating disclosure documents
Drafting and negotiating leases, attending to disclosure obligations, issuing breach notices, assisting with market reviews
Review, prepare, and, with team support, draft leases, licenses, franchise agreements, and other contractual documents.
Oversee all legal and transactional work across the Groups entities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Develop and implement best practices and procedures for franchising and leasing transactions to ensure legislative compliance.
Liaise with our highly reputable external legal panel on matters under consultation.
Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of commercial and property-related matters.
Collaborate closely with key personnel, including the Director, to ensure legal compliance across all Group companies.
