Industrial Painter/Abrasive Blaster

JME Engineering, based in Unanderra, is committed to quality maintenance and servicing all heavy vehicles, including trucks, trailers, cranes, etc. Our workshop utilises modern technology and facilities, ensuring the highest service standards.

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter/Abrasive Blaster and Coatings applicator to join our team. We also encourage 3rd—and/or 4th-year apprentices, mature applicants, and those with vast practical industry experience to apply.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in spray painting, sand-blasting, and heavy vehicle preparation;

• Cert III Surface Preparation & Coating Application (desirable);

• Driver's Licence (required);

• Forklift Licence (desirable);

• Be in good physical health;

• Ability to pass mandatory drug and alcohol testing; and

• Right to work in Australia (required).

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Working on trucks, newly made truck bodies, car carriers and refurbishment of trailers with a focus on protective coating and fine finish spraying;

• Passion, a strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver customer expectations;

• Reliability, punctuality and maintaining a safe, clean work environment;

• Skills in light welding, rust repair, and hand tools are highly regarded; and

• Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
