Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? We're seeking an Injury Management Advisor to join our dynamic and collaborative team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our multidisciplinary approach to claims management, developing and promoting strategies that focus on early injury recovery and sustainable return to work or community.
As an Injury Management Advisor, you'll be tasked with the development and implementation of rehabilitation policies, strategies, processes, and systems. This role is integral to fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our contemporary claims management environment. You'll provide accurate and strategic advice to management, claims staff, and external stakeholders on rehabilitation for claimants.
You'll have the opportunity to create tailored rehabilitation programs for individual claimants, setting clear goals and objectives. This includes managing relationships with external service providers and ensuring adherence to the MAIC rehabilitation guidelines. A key part of your role will also involve overseeing Injury Coding for the Nominal Defendant.
Your expertise will be called upon to provide high-level advice to senior management on current challenges relating to the rehabilitation of claimants and any potential impact on the CTP scheme.
Success Criteria
To be successful in this role, you'll draw on and apply your extensive knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology and procedures, including the forms of treatment applicable to a compensable injury. Excellent written and interpersonal skills are essential, as you'll be liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders, including injured persons, medical providers, lawyers, and claims staff. Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant degree or postgraduate studies in a medical or allied health related discipline are highly regarded.
