Investment Banking Analyst - Boutique Investment Bank

JS Careers is currently sourcing an Analyst for an boutique Australian investment bank in Brisbane. The firm operates in a generalist sector capacity with a mid market focus in terms of deal size.  

This is an outstanding opportunity for an analytical professional seeking to build upon already developed technical skills in a high quality team where you will be exposed to a strong pipeline of work and the opportunity to learn from the firms senior leadership. 

This role requires 0.5-4 years of experience gained from a corporate finance team within an accounting practice, equity research role, corporate development position or a competitor investment bank / corporate advisory firm.

Role responsibilities:

• Financial analysis, valuation and modelling

• Due diligence and transaction management 

• Drafting and deal documentation (e.g. IMs, Board Papers, SPAs etc)

• Communication with other advisors (legal, accounting) and clients

Candidates will be considered from:

• Investment banks - Bulge bracket or boutique

• Accounting firms corporate finance teams - M&A, Transaction Services, Valuations and/or Business Modelling

• Corporate development teams 

• Equities research

Candidates must also possess the following: 

• 1-4 years of experience

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)

• Advanced technical skills via financial modelling experience or a highly numeric tertiary education (ie. Actuarial studies, Mathematics, Quantitative Economics/Econometrics)

• Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (Commerce, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Studies, Engineering, and/or Law)
