Junior Customs Broker / Customs Compiler
Work From Home – Full Time Employee Role
About the Role
We’re a growing customs brokerage seeking a dedicated Junior Customs Broker or experienced Customs Compiler to join our team on a full-time employee basis.
This is a remote role (work from home) offering flexibility, variety, and a genuine pathway to becoming a fully licensed broker. You’ll be responsible for compiling and classifying customs entries, lodging quarantine declarations, and working closely with our broker and operations team across sea and air freight.

Key Responsibilities:
Compile and lodge import/export customs entries (ICS – sea & air freight)
Classify goods using the Australian Customs Tariff
Enter customs-related data accurately into internal systems
Ensure compliance with customs regulations through accurate and complete documentation
Lodge quarantine entries (DAFF/COLS) and manage quarantine outcomes and BICON scenarios
Maintain accurate records and support brokers with documentation follow-ups and client communication
Liaise with depots, freight forwarders, clients, and government authorities as required
Assist the broker and operations team with overflow entries, escalations, and process improvements
Support internal workflow efficiency and compliance through structured file handling

About You:
Prior experience in customs compiling/classifying, or strong exposure via freight forwarding
Currently studying or recently completed the Diploma of Customs Broking (or actively interested in starting)
Familiarity with ICS, BICON, COLS, and Australian quarantine regulations
Confident with systems such as Expedient, Cargowise, or similar platforms
Excellent communication skills — written and verbal

Able to work independently in a remote setup, but willing to collaborate and adapt
Must be based in Australia (QLD preferred, but we’re flexible)
