Mi Kids educators embrace a growth mind set which perpetuates the development of new skills, new perspectives, critical reflection and the uniqueness of each child. Strong relational bonds between educators create a harmonious secure environment for the Mi Kids team and children which supports positive interactions and child-directed programs fuelled by purposeful observations attuned to the needs of each and every child. These observations are communicated in multiple ways through parent interviews, educational reports, milestone summaries and daily feedback facilitated by our open-door policy. The Early Childhood Key Educator is responsible for creating and delivering engaging educational experiences for children aged 0-5 years. This role includes designing a play-based curriculum, observing and assessing children's development, and tailoring activities to meet individual needs. The teacher will work closely with families, providing regular communication and support, and ensuring the well-being and safety of all children. As part of the Mi Kids team, the Early Childhood Key Educator will embrace a growth mindset, fostering new skills, perspectives, and critical reflection, and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment.
About Company
At Mikids, a family-owned 63-place childcare centre based in the Northern Beaches Warriewood region, we believe in building meaningful relationships with children, families, and the community. Recognizing carers as children's first teachers, we foster reciprocal, trusting relationships that create a safe, nurturing environment, promoting a sense of belonging, cultural responsiveness, and identity. We respect each child's unique developmental journey, facilitating their growth with support from educators and the community. Our educators embrace a growth mindset, continually developing new skills and perspectives. The environment acts as the third teacher, using open-ended resources to spark interest and engagement, and incorporating slow-down routines and rituals for holistic development. This allows educators to be more present with the children, enhancing their learning experiences. We honor Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, engage in sustainable practices, and instill essential life skills that extend beyond cognitive and physical development, preparing children for their future with resilience and a growth mindset.
