About the Role

Hastings Deering are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our award-winning team in Archerfield, Brisbane.

This is a maternity leave cover role, working 5 days over a fortnight. You will work three (3) days in week 1 and two (2) days in week 2 for a total of 7.6 hours per shift. We are flexible on what days you decide to work!

The role is for a fixed term period of 12 months.

As an Assistant you will:

• Collect samples from designated collection points within the premises
• Unpack and sort samples
• Assign label numbers appropriately
• Register samples including data entry
• Card scanning
• Housekeeping and general equipment maintenance
• Dispose of samples
• Receive stock
• Display care in the use of company instrumentation, tools and property
• Analysis of routine samples as designated
