Who you are? We are seeking casual Laboratory Technician’s, who are excited by the challenges of our business and variety this roles offers. We are looking for experienced technicians to work in our Digest Laboratory. Your role will be using specialised equipment and performing laboratory testing. You will also be involved in the simulation of minerals production processes in order to test the properties of minerals samples. What’s you are responsible for, but not limited to: Weighing, digestion and preparation of samples for analysisFollow and adhere to laboratory proceduresUndertake tasks as requested by the supervisorMeet quality, TATs and KPI’s required for the role.Maintain good laboratory housekeeping.Work to Bureau Veritas QHSE standards. What will you bring to the role? To be successful in this position you will have: Experience working as a Technician or Analyst within a mining related LaboratoryICP MS experience highly desirableA Certificate III / IV in Laboratory Skills / Techniques is beneficialMust adhere to quality standards and have a strong commitment to safety.Must be reliable and able to work rotational shift work on a roster (Day, Night and Afternoon shifts).A strong team and customer focus.Sound reading and numerical skills.A methodical, well organised approach to your work.Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including alcohol and drug screening.
