Labourer

Eric Jones Stairbuilding Group is an Australian family owned business which has been leading the Victorian staircase manufacturing industry since 1947. We specialise in timber/steel residential and commercial staircase construction, and take pride in our reputation for quality, reliability, and service.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Labourer (Spray Painting) who is highly motivated and committed to perform spray painting of stainless and mild steel stair parts and timber, plus a variety of duties in the steel factory in Blackburn, and on site around Melbourne.

• Casual with potential to permanent full time.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing and spray painting mild steel and some timber stair components.

• Assisting skilled tradespeople with a variety of on site and factory work.

• Ensuring work areas are clean, tidy and safe at all times.

• Following all safety procedures and regulations.

• Undertaking general labouring duties as required on site and in factory.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience as a Labourer, ideally with some painting experience.

• Competent in the use of painting equipment and tools.

• Good attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard.

• Proactive approach to safety and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.

• Forklift license (preferable).

• Must have a Drivers License.
