Laser Operator Sheet Metal

Metal-Tech Industries is currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Laser Operator

For over 30 years Metal-Tech has been supplying precision sheet metal components using the latest CNC Laser Cutting and Punching technology. This technology as well as a full welding / fabrication service plus in-house powder coating makes Metal-Tech Industries your one stop sheet metal shop.

As a CNC Laser operator, you will be an integral part of how MTI performs, you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of one of our Trumpf Laser cutting machines.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years laser cutting experience.
• Trutops or Boost experience would be preferred.
• Must be able to interpret manufacturing drawings.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Forklift licence.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate laser cutting machine.
• Loading the laser with sheet metal.
• Unloading and sorting processed parts.
• Perform maintenance as per the machine’s maintenance schedule.
• Follow the production schedule to ensure all parts are on time.
• Perform QC checks on all parts.
