We're building a modern, scalable platform to support our expanding portfolio and are looking for a talented Product Designer to join our team. About the Role: We're seeking a Product Designer with a strong focus on user experience and interface design. You'll play a crucial role in shaping our new platform, which we are mid way through transitioning from a legacy system to a modern tech stack. You will be instrumental in creating a seamless, engaging user experience across our multiple brands as we scale. Our Products Urban.com.au - Connecting buyers with Australia's largest range of new and off-the-plan apartments & townhomes.The Urban Industry Portal - Where industry professionals showcase and sell new developments.A new acquisition we are yet to announce!!! Your Contribution Help us build a user-centric platform that supports multiple brands and categories.Contribute to the entire product lifecycle, from user research to wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design, ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience.Participate in user research and testing to gather feedback and insights that inform design decisions.Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure that designs are implemented effectively and to the highest standards.Communicate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical team members across the business. Advocate for user needs, while balancing business goals and technical constraints.Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and methodologies. What our ideal candidate looks like… 3+ years of experience in product design, with a strong passion for user experience and delightful interface designs.A passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a solid understanding of design principles, user research methodologies, and information architecture.Enjoys working closely with engineers. You find it more fun moving pixels in a staging site with a developer than in a design tool. You are most proud of the designs we have all worked together on to ship to production!Advocates for designs that are as feasible as they are beautiful - not only will you be a wizard in Figma (or your design tools of choice) but you will have a solid understanding of the technical constraints and business objectives of a product. We don’t expect you to have this day one, but you will learn from our engineers, just as they will learn from you!Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, able to clearly and respectfully articulate design decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are open to feedback, but can ensure that we maintain high quality and momentum.While not mandatory, an understanding of HTML, CSS, and JS is highly valued, as is experience with cross-brand design systems. Ideally, you will have worked on a product engineering team with site and/or business-wide responsibility.
