Leading Hand Boilermaker

Due to continued growth within our Fabrication division located in Forrestfield, we have an opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand Boilermaker to lead our team.

This position is/includes:

• Full-time permanent role.
• Penalties paid for overtime.
• Fortnightly tool allowance.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Ensure all work is carried as per company policies and procedures.
• Reporting to the Fabrication Manager – oversee staff on the workshop floor.
• Checking and approving completed works.
• Reading of technical drawings.
• Examining welds for size, penetration, and defects.
• Diagnose and repair any damages as part of the maintenance and service of heavy vehicles.
• Identify and resolve any imminent challenges.
• Perform all duties whilst adhering to OH&S requirements.

About you:

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate - Boilermaker/Fabricator.
• 2nd Class Welders/Fabricators are also welcome to apply.
• Experience in the road transport industry is highly advantageous.
• Previous experience working in a similar role/environment.
• Hold a current LF (forklift) license or willing and able to obtain one.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test.
• Provide a valid National Police clearance (not issued longer than 6 months ago).
