Carinity Communities – Fassifern, based in Boonah, is the Community Centre for the Fassifern District and the western Scenic Rim. Fassifern provides programs and services that respond to the needs of the local community and is also home to our disability service that provides a home away from home for people with a disability and their carers.
About the opportunity:Carinity Communities – Fassifern is seeking a dynamic Learning Centre Coordinator to organise educational, and employment programs aimed at supporting young people and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This part time role will coordinate the Skilling Queenslanders for Work programs, ensuring effective delivery of services aligned with the Department of Trade, Employment and Training guidelines.
Working closely with participants, community organisations, employers, and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), the Coordinator will use a strength-based, holistic approach to empower clients to build skills, confidence, and pathways to employment or further training.
What Carinity is looking for:Experience coordinating vocational training and case management servicesStrong leadership skills, including mentoring and supervising volunteers and tutorsFamiliarity with Department of Trade, Employment and Training Skilling Queenslanders for Work InitiativesExcellent interpersonal and written communication skillsCurrent Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)A commitment to Carinity’s Christian ethos and person-centred values
