The opportunity

We are growing; and are looking for an additional Lending Support superstar for our Lending Team - someone who is passionate and wants to grow with us, personally and professionally.

You get to work on complex residential and commercial finance requirements and learn from experienced mortgage brokers who can support you if you would like to progress to become a mortgage broker.

Who are you?

This will be the ideal role if you have experience working in an accounting or financial planning firm as a mortgage support assistant. You would be used to the complexity of work as well as the deep and ongoing relationships our advisers have with our clients - providing lending support is not a transaction for our clients - you are acting as a specialist in a team of accounting and financial planning specialists looking after our awesome clients.

Main Duties:

• Supporting Senior Lending Advisers on the provision of credit assistance, always ensuring alignment to the client’s best interest;
• Preparation and packaging of loan submissions;
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including ASIC regulations, NCCP, and Best Interest Duty;
• Assist Senior Lending Advisers in optimal client outcomes throughout the customer journey (lead to post settlement);
• Requesting and verifying supporting documents;
• Attending client meetings as required;
• Liaising with stakeholders including conveyancers, valuers, settlement agents, and lenders;
• Ensuring reasonable steps are taken in the process of verification of a client’s financial position and supporting documentation;
• Verifying applications: Reviewing application details, documents, and comments to determine approval requirements and ensure high quality of submission; ordering / verifying and chasing necessary documentation;
• Maintaining the integrity of CRM databases, filing systems and customer data;
• Resolving errors at point of detection to ensure efficient customer file progression;
• Demonstrating strong knowledge of current lender policies, products, and procedures; and
• Collaboration with the team and the greater Altus business

Skills / Experience:

• Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Organised, self-motivated and a team player
• Strong administration & Office 365 skills
• Experience with MyCRM advantageous
