About the business and the role

Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) is a world-class pilot training organisation that has operated since 1982 and provides customised aviation training solutions for the fixed-wing and rotary-wing industries.

FTA has two campuses. One is based at Parafield Airport in South Australia and conducts both fixed- and rotary-wing training. The other is based at Wellcamp Airport in Queensland and conducts fixed-wing training only.

Job tasks and responsibilities

We are currently looking for a suitably qualified B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team.

FTA owns and operates Australia's largest fleet of diamond piston-engine aeroplanes, the Mudry CAP 10 aeroplane and Schweizer helicopters.

The role is based at Parafield Airport and reports to the Engineering Manager.

Skills and experience

All applicants are required to have General Aviation maintenance experience and be able to demonstrate/provide evidence of the following:

  • B1.2 License. 
  • Demonstrated ability to use their initiative to problem-solve.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with single and multi-engine piston aircraft.

Candidates must be citizens or have permanent residency in Australia or New Zealand. They must also return a negative reading on a mandatory pre-employment AOD test.

Salary range is between $100,000 and $110,000 depending on qualifications.
