Privately owned company providing high voltage and low voltage electrical distribution maintenance, repairs and construction to the Mount Isa region. 

We are looking for experienced Linesman to join our company. 

Note: this position is NOT fly in/out.

Your duties:

• Construct, maintain and repair overhead high and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines. 

• Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson or be willing and able to change to a Queensland Licence.

• Operate within Energy Queensland requirements for quality, safety and risk assessment compliance.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

• Leading hand experience preferred.

• Experienced Borer/Crane operator preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.

• Working knowledge of Electricity Act and Regulations, Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts and regulations.

• Ability to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.

• Current Driver Licence (HR or HC desirable).

• The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test and participate in random testing.

• The ability to work 12hr shifts and overtime when required.

• Well-developed interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• S1, S2 & S3 Certificate.
