Service Manager - Community Mental Health Program

Employment Term: Full-time permanent role

Location: Flexible location working out of either of our program locations - Cairns or Sunshine Coast

Remuneration: Attractive salary on offer + 11.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging

We are currently seeking a Service Manager to join our Community Mental Health team. The position is a full time permanent role. Preferably the successful candidate will be Cairns based however, applications from candidates in the Sunshine Coast will also be considered.   The purpose of this role is to provide line management and practice supervision, leadership and guidance to service delivery across several Community Mental Health programs. There will be some travel involved to Cairns, Mackay and Sunshine Coast.

Your part in our UnitingCare team

  • Work within relevant quality and risk frameworks and guidelines in accordance with relevant standards to ensure delivery of high-quality services, respect of client’s rights and confidentiality.

  • Manage programs within budget and in consultation with the State-wide Manager, contribute to the budget planning cycle with specified accountability requirements.

  • Manage and monitor client information systems ensuring case recording and client files are maintained to a high standard and reporting and assessments are completed withing allocated time frames.

  • Drive best practice standards and implement these within a quality assurance framework to enhance and strengthen the overall performance out outcomes of the services

What makes a difference for us? 

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant field (ie Social Work, Psychology or Social Science)

  • Lesser formal qualifications with acquisition of considerable skills and extensive and diverse relevant experience to an equivalent standard.

  • Significant experience in providing services to children and families.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve service performance outcomes together with an ability to provide quality supervision and training.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Current Queensland Drivers licence.

  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
