Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for analysing data, forecasting demand, and implementing strategies to streamline delivery operations and improve resource utilisation. You'll work with cutting-edge logistics technology, deliver key performance insights, and ensure operational compliance across our interstate and local transport services.

Task & Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified Logistics and Operations Analyst who will be responsible for:
- Analysing and planning efficient delivery routes for local and interstate transport using route optimisation software, considering traffic conditions, delivery windows, and fuel efficiency.
- Assessing fleet and personnel capacity in relation to customer demand and recommending adjustments to optimise resource allocation and operational performance.
- Monitoring logistics KPIs such as on-time deliveries, fulfilment rates, and customer satisfaction to identify performance gaps and implement improvement strategies.
- Designing and executing cost-effective logistics strategies to enhance service levels, reduce operational costs, and improve loading, unloading, and packing efficiency.
- Collecting and interpreting logistics and supply chain data to forecast demand, allocate resources, and identify process inefficiencies or risks.
- Coordinating delivery schedules to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and manage high volumes or urgent requests effectively.
- Conducting cost analyses of transportation operations, including labour, fuel, and equipment expenses, and identifying areas to increase profitability.
- Implementing and managing systems for automated delivery notifications and customer tracking to improve service transparency and reduce inquiry volumes.
- Recommending and overseeing the integration of logistics technologies such as route planning tools and driver tracking systems to enhance operational control.
- Identifying operational risks, developing contingency plans, and regularly reviewing risk management protocols to ensure continuity and resilience.
- Preparing detailed logistics reports and dashboards to communicate performance trends and insights to management for strategic decision-making.
- Monitoring industry developments and participating in professional development to ensure adoption of best practices and innovative logistics solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and safety standards through regular audits, process updates, and training programs.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to align logistics operations with customer service and sales objectives.
- Leading or supporting logistics projects by setting objectives, managing timelines, and monitoring implementation to drive continuous improvement.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. At least five years of relevant full-time professional experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
- Minimum of five years of full-time experience in logistics, transport coordination, supply chain analysis, or a similar operational role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in optimising logistics operations, including route planning, resource allocation, and process improvement.
- Proficiency in using logistics software, route optimisation tools, and data analysis platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external service providers.
