Logistics and Supply Chain Internship Program

Get hands-on work experience to complement your university studies! The Logistics and Supply Chain Internship Program gives you a chance to intern with established professionals, develop professional skills and gain practical work experience.

Why Choose This Internship Program
  • Put Your University Learning to the Test in Real Work Scenarios

As you’ll tackle practical tasks, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a range of logistics and supply chain tasks, and also learn through observation and working closely with your colleagues.
  • Develop Your Professional Skills

As you get stuck into practical tasks in a real Australian workplace, you will develop a number of professional skills such as your analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Gain Industry Insights

You’ll also develop a better and more practical understanding of the industry as you experience, first-hand, some of the real-world complexities of supply chain operations across different industries, from exports and biotechnology to automotive and building products (depending on the host company).
Who Can Apply for This Internship Program?
  • Current University Students in Australia

The program is open for both international and local students of logistics and supply chain management in Australian universities. It is aimed to help you meet degree requirements, gain academic credit, and experience first-hand how businesses manage logistics.
  • New Graduates and Students Whose Degrees Don’t Require an Internship

You can still enrol and combine your work experience placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program, allowing you to develop industry-relevant skills and get practical work experience.
Who You Will Intern With

The 12-week internship program  is designed to match your internship preferences, including a preferred start date, internship placement length and location. Example host companies include:

  • A large export company that manages global trade and logistics.
  • A biotechnology company streamlining supply chain processes for medical and scientific products.
  • A business in the automotive and building products industry focusing on procurement and inventory management.
What You Do During Your Work Experience Placement

Your specific tasks will depend on the host company, but your internship may involve:

  • Researching pricing trends, supplier data, and competitor insights.
  • Assisting with procurement, material specifications, and order management.
  • Supporting logistics teams in warehouse operations and transport coordination.
  • Analysing supply chain data to identify efficiency improvements.
  • Contributing to inventory tracking and demand forecasting.
